36% of Americans claim to be Pentecostal or Charismatic

According to the Barna research group's recent findings, the number of churches and adherents to Pentecostal perspectives and practices has grown significantly in the past two decades. Today, fully 36% of Americans consider themselves to have been "...filled by the Holy Spirit and believe that the charismatic gifts, such as tongues and healing, are valid and active today."
